The Coalition for Better Education and Globe Telecom thru its CSR Arm, Bridging Communities conducted the 5-day training on ICT Integration using the PBL Approaches to 35 selected teachers from Globe’s Community of Practices areas. These areas include Benguet, Batangas, NCR, Albay, Boracay, Cebu and Bohol.
The training program aims to enhance the public school teachers by introducing them to new methodologies and approaches to classroom teaching and other professional development opportunities. Thus, a total of 35 teachers coming from 14 schools in 8 divisions composed the 19th batch of GFT trainees last March 31-April 4, 2014 held at Golden Valley Hotel in Cebu City.
The participants gathered together to complete the 5-day intensive classroom enhancement training. The training helps the teachers integrate technology by weaving it seamlessly into project-based learning activities. The training also engaged the GFT peer coaches as facilitators for 2 days, Mr. Felix K. Baculi II of Cabancalan NHS in Mandaue City and Ms. Marivi L. Castro of GenSan SPED Integrated School in General Santos City.
