Comprehend – We equip you with new knowledge; Adopt – You adopt what you learned from the classroom, this was proven by the several projects completed by the teachers; &Propagate – Now we can share this to the other teachers; we started with 25 & who knows in the next few months we will be able to conquer the 700,000 teachers in the Philippines.”
Dr. Caridad Labe, CBE VP for Internal Affairs & DepEd MIMAROPA Regional Director discuused the
highlights of Project TeACH.
During the monitoring report & highlights, Dr. Caridad Labe, CBE VP for Internal Affairs & DepEd MIMAROPA Regional Director emphasized that Project TeACH got a 4.58 (highly effective) rating in terms of the principals & experts’ perception on the effectiveness of PBL implementation. In addition, principals have confidence on CitySavings – trained teachers in designing PBL, & student – teacher interaction are very adequate.
Mr. Jeffrey Tarayao, CBE President on his message about teamwork,
development & growth.
“Over the years that CBE has been doing this kind of program one critical success ingredient is the support of the superiors – the principals, supervisors, superintendents. It is important that you all work together, give a chance to your teachers to improve themselves & to discover where they can be good at”, said Mr. Jeffrey Tarayao, CBE President.
Aside from enhanced skills with new methodologies & approaches to classroom learning, Project TeACH also provides professional development opportunities through credited points as basis for potential promotion under DepEd order No. 66, series of 2007. Students on the other hand are expected to be engaged in learning knowledge & skills through experiential project based learning.
CitySavings seeks to bring Project TeACH to other regions in the Philippines to strengthen PBL implementation in the classrooms. This shows CitySavings’ strong commitment for better teachers who will in turn develop better students for a better nation.
